Clinical Observation on 120 Cases of Male infertility Treated with Herbal
Remedy

120 male infertility cases: average age 27-+2;  72 male health control group: average age 26-+2
with fertility ability

120 male infertility cases were treated by oral administration of herbal remedy decoction, one dose
daily for 2 consecutive months and 72 cases were used as control group. Sperm analysis was
made before and after treatment. America Hamilton-Thorne Research Equiment--CASA was used
to analyze sperm: VAP, VSL, VCL, ALH, BCF, VSL/VAP(ATR), LIN, ELO and AREA.

Results showed  that after treatment the motility rate, rapid mobility rate and various mobility indices
of sperm were improved in the treatment group and among the 120 cases treated, 16 case's
spouses had pregnancy. It is proved that the herbal decoction has a definite therapeutic effect on
male infertility, and the therapeutic mechanism might be increase of mobility rate, rapid mobility rate
and improvement of mobility indices of sperm.
